| Description : | The engine harness wiring has been re-routed due to the repositioning of the underbonnet fuse box. The wiring route may allow the harness to chafe on the front left hand spring turret and dependant upon which lead chafes the following electrical functions could be rendered inoperative, headlamps, engine management, cooling fans, fuel pump, ignition circuit, air-conditioning, anti-lock braking (although brakes will still function), hill decent control (off road operation only) horn and SRS system. |
| Remedial Action : | Recall all Freelander models to check the routing of the harness protection to eliminate potential chafing conditions. |
