26-01-07 Minimising the Effects of Industrial Action
Some staff in VOSA will be taking part in a national day of action on 31 January. The industrial action, to be taken by the PCS union members across VOSA, will involve some administrative support functions and Road Traffic Enforcement activities. HGV and PSV testing is still taking place and enforcement staff will continue to conduct roadside checks. Where the industrial action impacts on annual tests, VOSA will make every effort to ensure that operators are not inconvenienced.
VOSA's Chief Executive Stephen Tetlow said:
"We will minimise any disruption for customers and ensure that safety standards and our enforcement operations are maintained. This is not an opportunity for non-compliant operators to feel that they can compromise road safety."
If you have any queries about your test, please contact the VOSA national helpline on 0870 60 60 440.
