01-08-06 BM Autoteknik is VOSAs new testing equipment supplier
Following evaluation of tenders from 3 potential suppliers, on Tuesday 18 July 2006, VOSA (Vehicle and Operator Services Agency) awarded a contract to the Danish company BM Autoteknik. The company is offering one of the widest and deepest product ranges within roller brake testers and associated products world wide.
BT Autoteknik will be responsible for the refreshment of testing lanes and replacement of equipment in VOSA-operated Heavy Vehicle Testing Stations. The company will be supported by a number of other specialists in the equipment supply, maintenance and construction fields. Replacement will be a rolling programme, anticipated to take 3-5 years to complete. The programme is supported by whole-life maintenance and repair service for the equipment provided, which will include roller brake testers, load simulation, wheelplay detectors, pit jacks and emissions equipment.
Roll-out of emissions equipment will begin almost immediately, followed by a general refreshment of equipment at a number of sites this year.
